Two teams of student entrepreneurs representing Northern Caribbean University (NCU) and the University of the West Indies (UWI) out-performed their counterparts in major worldwide universities and placed in the top ten of the 2016 International Business Model Competition (IBMC) at the Microsoft Ventures campus in Seattle, Washington, in the United States on April 29 and 30.
Forty-two teams from scores of universities and business schools across the globe, including NCU’s Guardana Inc., and UWI’s team, Sweelevia, competed for the grand cash prize of US$30,000 and the prestigious IBMC trophy.
